This is Stove. It’s an app we created for our collaboration with clients.
We wanted to create a different kind of app, that both allows everyone to be on the same page, and without the hassle of yet another app; not have to remember a password, download an app, or have to learn yet another tool.
When clients work with our team, they get their own Stove. It’s where they see progress, understand planning, and even time spent to date.
We designed Stove to be an elevated way of sharing progress among teams, including client teams, in real-time, but in a way that’s also non-intrusive.
It is a one-screen web app that syncs with the different project management apps used at Madeo and displays a high-level summary in a clean to do, doing, done format, with other insights like time spent to date on a project or in a given month.
Stove, to us, was a way to improve every detail in the way teams get to share updates and progress. We continue to use stove exclusively with our clients, but may open it up for more people in the future.
Stove is a Madeo side project, created by the Madeo team over the course of 8 months of strategy, design and development and has been updated every few weeks since then. Madeo team members define the side projects they want to work on, mostly geared for learning, innovation, or both.
And if you want to work on some of these side projects, apply to join us — we’re hiring!

📍“It is not enough that we build products that function, that are understandable and usable, we also need to build products that bring joy and excitement, pleasure and fun, and, yes, beauty to people’s lives.” – Don Norman⠀
